How to format Xp without Start up Disk

I think my Xp windows is been infected by virus or it might have got corrupted. It has got some bad virus which won't even let me log in. So i decided to format the windows and reinstall it again. but i am not able to find the startup disk that came with my system. So is there any way i can format the pc without startup disk ? If yes, please let me know how. Thanks in advance.

The main point here is that you can 't format a drive if you have the program opens. If you have more than one drive, you could in the way of Dos, opening a session to another drive first, and size C drive. Else you can use AOS installation CD, but first you must make some configuration in BIOS, your computer, first check if your CD drive to the computer first, and then fallow the instructions field.

Formatting is not only the option for infected system. If you antvirus on CD-ROM, you could try to initialize your computer from CD instead of hard drives. This would be an antivirus scan in force and perhaps to the virus to find and disable it.use a scanning system program (antivirus) and when he locates a virus you delete it manually.
