There is a registry value you can set to disable this feature. To disable low disk space checks, follow these steps, log off, and then log on again: Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor:
    • Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
    • Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
    • On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
    • Type NoLowDiskSpaceChecks, and then press ENTER.
    • On the Edit menu, click Modify.
    • Type 1, and then click OK.

Low disk space is not virus, it the warning created windows to alert user when their hard drive is running low on available disk space. Try off system restore, To do so go to start then select control panel click on system select system restore tab and check the box beside "turn off system restore" click on apply then ok. Restart the computer and check your disk space.

When your hard drive is nearly out of free space, Windows will warn you with a little pop-up box with message Low disk space. This in turn can cause a system not to be able to load or unload programs properly.

Check this thread to solve the problem :

You all seemed to glaze over the fact that he said he HAS plenty of free disk space. See those numbers he wrote, 16? That's how much he's telling us he has left. Rattling off about what the low disk space error message is there for when he clearly HAS enough disk space, therefore another problem must be at hand, isn't helping anyone. However, reading would.

I've read about this issue. By chance, do you have an AOL folder in your programs folders? It seems a lot of people who have this issue have an AOL folder, which is either where a trojan is storing the files it duplicates or where Windows is placing legitimate but useless files into, and it takes up disk space as it becomes available. Google it, a lot of people seem to have that issue. However, since you HAVE free disk space, this mostlikely isn't your problem. Do you have any sort of partitioning going on that sets aside space for backup, recovery files, etc? Have you ran a virus scan to see if it's a false warning (another well-discussed and fairly common cause for this warning, a virus that tell you your disk space is low and then attempts to get you to run it's software to correct the "issue").
