how did you conclude that you computer supports HT?
if i get your specifications more accurately it could be good,so i can tell you
you can do it or not else it may be a crap you may waste time if it is not supporting....
is your computer a factory outlet or what?
The HyperThreading technology makes the operating system "believe" there are two processors installed in the machine, rather than fact. Intel make use of idle area for use...Besides, the motherboard of the computer have to have the capacity to enable the Hyper Threading technology
To enable hyper threading reach the BIOS settings
best of luck.....
I know how to enable LILO users Hyper threading is built into the kernel
Newer Intel processors with Dual Core and HT, use Linux-686-smp
There's a big difference between having "2 threads being abled to run concurrently" and having "2 processors or cores".
I genuinely use XFS for my file system so I Installed LILO
To enable hyperthreading
in terminal
sudo gedit /etc/lilo.conf
find # append="" rename it to append="ht=on"
save lilo.conf ,run sudo lilo and reboot
done........enjoy
