WSUS in win2k3

have two site which r connected via a p2p wan link.I have setupa WSUS server (upstream) at a site with more users.At the othe rsite I have configure a Downstream server (not a replica).

IN the AD GPO I have assigned individual WSUS servers for both the site.(Am I right here)

The problem is I cannot see the computers listed on the downstream site.

check with ping option

To ping an upstream WSUS server by using the ping command

1. Click Start, and then click Run
2. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
3. Type the following, and then press ENTER:

ping WSUSServerNname

where WSUS server name is the name of the upstream WSUS server you are trying to synchronize with.

Go to your Active Directory Users and Computers, expand down to your OnTime Resources -> Servers. Right-click Servers and select Properties. Select the Group Policy tab, and add your Group Policy Object "WSUS Update Policy" to the container.

Now, only do that to the group you want to have show up, but I am assuming you want Servers...

Check out whether your establish settings is set properly or not. For doing that you need to run the following command:Reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate" /s

Then ensure your server and port number are properly shown on the output exist and are set correctly. Afterwards checkout whether WSUS is installed on Default Website. Also check out whether the client policies point is on the default web site. If you had installed WUS on a different port, then you need to run the following script %Program Files%\MicrosoftWindowsUpdate\Services\"SetupInstallSelfupdateOnPort80.vbs.
