systemroot system32 restore rstrui.exe doesn't work

Because of some problems created by installing some applications i decidec to restore my Siemens Laptop,but the worst thing is that and when I tried to open the system restore the following message pop up windows cannot find c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe is this a major issue or something can i get ride this error?? can i restore my laptop

i had been the same situation as you now..but i tried a lot to know what is wrong... surfed on net,consumed considerable amount of nights finally i end up with an software...due to missing of some system files this type of error vulnerable. so get the software and cure your registry the software i installed is Registry Easy

i think it is because of altercation of path...see if someone changed the windows path to this .exe file.if so correct the path
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM;C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem
also, tell me if the rstrui.exe exist or not

>install a good anti virus program
>Reinstall the Sr.inf in the safe mood,Delete the rstrui.exe in safe mood and reactivate it by reinstall the sr.inf
>expand c:\i386\rstrui.ex_ c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
