error code 00161 on my computer

I am having a new computer past few months back & was running Windows XP on it. But suddenly tomorrow i got an error code 00161. Now i can't boot up or can't. I don't know what the problem is about...??? Is there any error with my computer..???

After the error codes, you do not have dead CMOS battery and the time are set.

Error 00161(Dead battery.)

1. Go to Checking the Backup Battery
   
   
2. Backup battery.
   
   
3. System board.
   
   
   Error 00163 (Time and date were not set.)
4. Set time and date.
   
   
5. System board.

The CMOS baking UP battery can defectively. If this is not the problem, then you can try re-initialization the BIOS with the help of the following procedures.

1. Make sure the laptop is turned OFF.
   
   
2. Hold down F1 and power the laptop ON.
   
   
3. Click on CONFIG.
   
   
4. Click on INITIALIZE.
   
   
5. Click on OK.
   
   
6. Click on EXIT.
   
   
7. Click on RESTART.
   
   
8. Click on OK
