| No "Show hidden files" in Folder Options
Good evening, In my XP, the "Show Hidden files" option is missing , i have used it many times, but suddenly when i went to Folder options , i can't find this option anymore. How i'll get back my hidden files? Please help me, i don't wanna loose my data.  |

See to this similar thread Windows Vista : Show hidden files and folders option missing ,you should consider the system restore to the previous date when the option was present. |

Find following key in your registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden] Modify the string value "Type" and enter "group" as value data. After the edit is complete hit F5 to refresh, and go and check in your Folder Options. |

Download this Vb script : http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs...iddenfiles.vbs Double click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done. Hope this will solve your issue. |
