I am learning Linux from basics on my own. I want to know what is the use of fc command and history command? Are those commands similar or totally different? I don't know much about this command so want to know more. Thanks!

fc is a standard program on Unix that lists or edits and reexecutes, commands previously entered to an interactive shell. fc command works on KRON Shell... While history command works on C Shell...
Thanks for the quick reply. But can you give its uses with examples or some guide to it? I want to learn as much commands as i know majority of stuffs in linux is done by command line interface. Thanks again!
History is a common command for shell to list out all the executed commands. It is very useful when it comes to investigation on what commands was executed that tear down the server or to find that one command you used in the past.
