Blue screen with "registry error" after Win xp installation

    Hi,

I have pc-board with EPoX, athlon xp1800, fp Maxtor 160GB, 3x PC2700 with 256mb, agp gf6600gt. When I start my pc nothing happens, the words "nothing is more" on.
when you actually turn: blinking cursor top left and nothing else.
ok ... if not bad ...

then I thought ... ok ... fresh xp on it and make good ...

installation CD inside - to boot from cd - hardware detection ... the usual - all good ...
license agreement with f8 confirmed ...
then ask "do you want to install Winbugs press return" .... ok ... I know the key ... times pressed and then:

    bluescreen:

    Registry error
    Stop 0x00000051 / 0x0000003 / 0x0000003 / 0xe1278000

I think the error lies here ...

what I have done is rewrite the mbr ... as far as I can technically still keep ...

the disk is partitioned into c:/ and d:/ and d:/ are about 80gb mp3 (legally of course) and several documents, which probably should not get away ...

what can I do now? the possibilities of diagnosis / troubleshooting I?

    thank you in advance

Test the HDD just with Seatools for DOS, that helps you quickly determine the condition of the disc drive in your external hard drive, desktop or notebook computer. It includes several tests that will examine the physical media on your Seagate or Maxtor disc drive and any other non-Seagate disc drive.

Completely for C: drive, It could be that Windows is trying an existing installation to recognize and then a repair installation to be able to offer.

    hi

C drive can also be setup during the delete, and format (I generally do).
Misleading error messages are almost always based on errors in disk or RAM. Setup recognizes this, but is not as "clever," the message out - would be a little much to ask. Therefore even if a new disk, it costs not much.

For the Asus A7N8-X way, you need the Silicon Raid Contoller drivers with F6 at the beginning of the setup process on disk - or the jumper on the board off. For EPoX may lack the High Point controller driver.
