Cannot open word document in Mail Mac OS

Hello,
I use mail mac OS. When i attach the word.doc file and send it to anyone, the person cannot open it. What should i do?

When you created the file if you used Save As and selected Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP from the Save as type dropdown menu and you had checked the Automatic file extension check box, it should be saved in valid Word document. You can send the attachment of word doc saved with save as function according to the receiver.

It may possible that your files are corrupted. When you save the file with any extension, make sure that the file can be easily open with the same. When you attach the file in the forwarded massage, check the size of the attachment and the compatibility of mail per attachment. You must understand the extensions and the file format which is used for documents.

The files are getting corrupted when delivering from one to the other. Try to zip the attachment with the winzip, and send it again. When you drag the attachment or file to the message, it gets corrupted. So attach the file properly before sending.
