In the form of an iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.4, Apple claimed last Saturday suddenly a solution to the problem. The update focuses on the random crashing of the computer and the user simply rest the computer to restart.
In addition, the same firmware update solves a problem with the iMac when using Boot Camp no longer want to sleep. For the firmware update to be installed, as stated in the release notes read, Mac OS X 10.5.6 is required.
It is still completely unclear which caused spontaneous solid runners. Apple reported in the release notes nothing about the cause of the problem. In the autumn of 2007 were similar problems in recent iMacs purchased with the interface no longer wanted to respond, this system was not completely fixed.
