    Hey!
I had a similar problem like yours but before getting this BSOD i used to get some BSOD regarding hard disk stating something regarding unmountable volume. Well did you get any such BSOD? if yes then you need to repair the errors on the hard disk if any exists. run check disk utility from windows, might help you. All the best.

    Hey!
You will need Windows XP bootable disk for the same. Change boot device priority in BIOS and make CD/DVD-ROM as first boot device. Boot from CD and at the first user interaction screen Press R to enter Recoverly Console. Press 1 and Press Enter. Once you are at the DOS screen with the prompt as "C:\Windows>" type : "CHKDSK C: /R" without quotes. let the check disk utility to complete and see if there are any errors. "/R" switch is for Repair. This might fix the error. If this doesn't then repair Windows XP with the same CD. All the best.
