Need to delete Virtual Hard Disk in Windows 7

I am a Windows 7 user. For some reason i need to delete a Virtual Hard Disk from my computer. As i am not familiar with this window, I need your help for the same.

Please let me know how to do the same ?

By doing so it will delete all data stored on it. To delete Virtual Hard Disk in Windows 7, follow this steps:-

1. Go to Control Panel, make it All items view and double click the Administrative Tools icon > Computer Management.

2. Here you can see Disk Management in the left side panel.

3. Now on the right side, right click on the Virtual Hard Disk and select Detach VHD from the option.

4. At this stage you have the option to only Detach or Detach or Delete the VHD. But as you need to Delete it, check the option Delete the virtual hard disk file after removing the disk.

5. Click OK button

Thats it.. The Virtual Hard Disk has been removed from your Windows 7 Computer.

i think we should not delete the VHD as it acts as a separate hard drive disk in Computer.
