Hey! I had the same issue on my Windows XP SP2. I couldn't find a fix yet. I guess its due to some virus or spyware. My computer was infected by viruses and this is problem started occurring after i deleted the virus...! According to me the virus infects the Windows' system files and when the antivirus deletes the file, error starts popping... Well i guess you use an Antivirus program. But now the Virus has already started creating problem, its better to re-install windows... All the best! |

Hey! Thanks for such quick reply. Well i tried everything. I re-installed windows twice but still the problem exists... Any other fix? Well i don't think mine is a virus issue as i have a fully updated antivirus and it doesn't detect any suspicion as yet...! But now after this error started i cannot connect to internet not even for updating my antivirus. AVG8 is what i use..! Help guys! Thanks! |

Hey! I suggest you clean install Windows XP again and if possible use Windows XP SP3. SP3 is less vulnerable to virus and has better security. Once the OS is installed, Install the drivers if necessary and the first software must be the Antivirus. Now setup the internet connection and Update the antivirus fully. Now install whichever other softwares you require... All the best.. PS: Recreate all the partitions while installing windows... |

I too face the same problem with SP2. Now I got 3 stuffs installed. BitDefender 09, Agnitum Firewall, and SpyBot. I installed the hotfix from windows from HERE and I dont get the problem now. Internet is fine now. I think its actually a bug in SP2. Installing SP3 can fix it once for all. Thank You! Sabharish |
