Here is the process to delete a listed operating system at boot up from Windows 7:-
- Open Control Panel.
- Click Administrative Tools.
- Also click System Configuration.
- Close the window – Administrative Tools.
- Click Boot.
- Now you have to choose the operating system which is not the default OS.
- Now click Delete.
- Check the box – Make all boot settings permanent.
- Now click OK.
- Please click Yes for confirmation.
- And finally click the Restart.
You can do the same in this another way:-
- Type msconfig in the search line of start menu and press Enter
- Click on the Boot tab
- Select the operating system you want to delete that is not set as the Default OS, and click on Delete. If the OS you want to delete from the list is the Default OS, then you will need to change the default operating system first.
- Check the Make all boot settings permanent box, and click on OK.
- Click on Yes to confirm.
- You'll be prompted with a pop-up, click on the restart button.
