Error 42003 "Internal program error "

Hello,

During a avast anti virus scan, my computer informed me that there was a max file that contained errors named 42003.

If either one of you knows what that means, thank you
Especially to explain how to fix this .

My operating system is Windows XP Home.

Uninstall avast!, delete the folder, re-install it, update it and scandisk your drive too.

Remove the virus Immediately. If it has not been caught the best way to clean your pc of viruses is with a boot scan. To schedule a boot time scan: Open Avast and when It loads click the tools menu and select "schedule boot time scan" and select all drive and click ok. Then turn off your computer to wipe any temporary stuff and turn it on to scan.

I'm quite sure this is not related to an infection. Did you check scanning of archives for the boot-time scan? Do the same errors appear every time you run it?You can try to run a boot-time scan on the windows folder only.
