    Error: 0x000000F4

I've tried to install Windows XP and get stuck in different places.

The flaw is that "Can not copy file ....." And got a "Error: 0x000000F4" or something. (Was BSOD)

Scenario 1: Replaced HDD, and installed again. Same problem, different files each time.

Scenario 2: Replaced ram and set the old HDD. Same problem, different files each time.

Scenario 3: Replaced HDD and Ram. Get the longest ever. Come all the way into the last part where the only missing a few files. Then came the error message.

What can be wrong? HDD is new. RAM is old but used in another machine.

    Some tips?

Have you checked the cables? These can also make a knot. Remember that I struggled to get the installation of XP due to defective IDE cable but Windows 98 was however good.

    Thank you for your reply.

Tried with 1x original XP home that was not opened. So that was opened. And as a burnt XP pro to test with. So the CD is not the problem unfortunately.

    Cables are also good!

    Some more tips?

Let me say what I said again, not that the cable is in but that it works. To test this, you must enter with a new cable, I had it wrong for there were no signs of damage but when I switched it was all just delightful and so it is worth testing.
