Have you installed any new softwares or programs in your system recently ?Try to uninstall them since there might be some error within causing this problem. I would recommend you to perform a system restore to backup before the uninstalls.

    Re: Irritating mini-dump message problem

The mini-dump is for sending to Microsoft for their programmers to look at and contains a dump of they system state at the time the error occurred, registry value, memory contents and the like. Unless you have access to information on the inner workings of Windows it wont make much sense to you.

IRQL_DRIVER_EQUAL_OR_LESS is often caused by a hardware error or sometime a corrupted drive. The error codes that came with the BSOD will give you far more information than the mini dump will.

Check your graphics card whether it's on-board graphic card or a separate card.... if it's a on-board graphic card, then no issues.... if it's a separate card, take it out and boot it up to check if it starts OK.
