Can't create desktop shortcut....help

hie,

I have a unusual problem here....Whenever I try to create a shortcut of an object (say a file or a game icon) on a desktop using right clicking and send to desktop(create shortcut) option, it allows me to click and select every option but for some reason the change is not affected then. What can be the reason for this and how do I create a desktop shortcut ? any ideas.....

Re: Can't create desktop shortcut....help

Try doing this -

Start > Run > type: sendto > click OK |
When the window opens, Right click in the right hand pane
New > Shortcut > Browse button > click the Desktop icon > OK
Next button > Type: Desktop (create shortcut) > Finish button
