    How to Remove Old Server Sync

    Hello,

    Windows XP running on my workstation, and it has been connected to a Windows SBS 2003 Server. I have some important documents installed on "My Documents" folder which in turn stored on the server, and I wanted to take backup of my system.

    But because of some problem hardware fails on my server so i purchased the new server, Now the problem is when I uploaded this server it shows a different domain name and server name, but it continuously shows some files are there in the system tray.

    Thanks

    Right-click on Files in the ActiveSync window and select "Synchronize selection" to update. Otherwise the files should be synced upon reconnecting to its cradle.

    In part, this is to prevent the file from becoming corrupted or locking-up your iPAQ if it is open.

    Good Luck - Let me Know!

    No-There is a sync folder - Pocket_PC My Documents (assuming the name of your Ipaq is Pocket_PC) and any file in that folder , that is updated or deleted - the change will happen on the IPAQ , the next time it is synced , or immediately if IPAQ is connected. Similarly the other way round from Ipaq to PC.

    The issue is that with redirected folders the Offline Files SYNC them automatically. So Even with the server gone the workstation has cached files from the old server it is trying sync.

    Go to offline files on the workstation and delete the cached files for the old server.

    Hope it helps!

    dsrepair shouldn't be used (or needed) to clear out a deleted entry. Deleted entry just means that the obituaries are processing and, once those are done, the purger has not purged the entry. It will happen within a few hours. dsrepair will do it sooner but there's no reason to do it that way.

    Following is the way through which you can remove the old server synce
    Have you tried clearing the cache?

    1. Open My Computer
    2. Goto Tools--> Options
    3. Click on the Offline Files tab.
    4. Hold down CTRL+SHIFT and click DELETE FILES. This will completely clear the client cache and re-sync after a reboot.
