ohmy Unable to install Windows 7 Build 7057

    Hey Guys,

I'm unable to install Windows 7 build 7057 on my system. It freezes up on "Completing Installation" step and automatically gets rebooted. As soon as it detects the graphics card (Intel X4500) my system gets freezes up and it automatically changes the resolution. I don't now but after that my pc automatically get reboot. Can any one tell me that why i'm unable to install Windows 7 build 7057 on my system? Does any body knows about this issue? Kindly help me out to get rid of this problem. Any help on the above issue would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I suggest you try using a different build, there have been lots of reports of various errors with build 7057 (both 32 bit and 64 bit versions). I'd go with either Build 7000 until the RC is released or one of the later builds.

Re: Unable to install Windows 7 Build 7057

The very first thing Windows 7 do after being installed on a system is to go to windows update site and check for available updates so make sure you have setup Windows 7 to check and install all updates. Within no time the updates will be downloaded and upon a system requested reboot the sound drivers will be installed, as simple as that. The reason I couldn’t install the sound drivers properly in build 6956 was that I created a conflict by installing/uninstalling the creative provided Vista drivers for Audiology and then upon failing tried to install through the windows update, so don’t do that and let the windows update do the whole thing.

I just went from build 7057 to build 7077 (64 bit) and I love it. A lot more stable, faster shutting down and starting up for me at least. I recommend also doing a clean install.
