Vista X64 quad and Sony Turntable

i just bought a MS vista quad X64. i know how to use x32 vs x64 on IE but is there a way to use x32 on the system itself? i have a sony PS-LX 300USB turntable and it worked before i got my new computer and now when i record, it looks like it works perfectly but when i play it back there is no sound. i know there is no sound while it is recording because i don't have the capability to set it up that way. i even spoke to sony CS via live chat and all he could say was the turntable is not guaranteed to work on X64.

    any suggestions?
    thx much

I don't think so , you can do anything about it, if its not for x64 then you can not simply make it compatible with x64.

Here is manual for your product: http://ws.sel.sony.com/PIPWebService...L-asset-145453

It is written "It doesn't support the 64-bit Operating Systems."

System requirements for the computer to be connected to the turntable*

    • Compliant computer:
    IBM PC/AT or compatible computers
    • Operating systems:
    Windows Vista® Home Basic
    Windows Vista® Home Premium
    Windows Vista® Business
    Windows Vista® Ultimate
Windows® XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
    or higher
Windows® XP Professional Service Pack 2 or
    higher
    Pre-installed (manufacturer installed only)

    – Operating systems other than those listed above are
    not supported.
64bit operating systems are not supported.
    • Hardware Environment:
    – Port: USB port**
    * Required when recording audio tracks of a vinyl
record onto a computer via a USB connection.
** The USB jack of the turntable supports USB (fullspeed).

    Notes
    • For the operating environment mentioned above,
the turntable is not guaranteed to operate with all
    computers.
    • The turntable is not guaranteed to operate with home
built computers, operating systems that are personally
    up-graded or multiple operating systems.
    • The turntable is not guaranteed to operate with
functions such as system suspend, sleep (stand-by
mode) and hibernation, on all computers.
