    Hey!
When you double click a .deb file, it will start the install and the installation will begin with a package manager. But when you double click the rpm files, it will open with an archive manager and that will give you error. It is because it is not an archive and its an installable package. So open your rpm files with the package manager. Might work..!? I have never tried thought...! Well do post back...! All the best...!
