Re: How to Install New Device Driver

There are two ways to install a driver. It can be installed through setup or manually
The instruction below are for installing a driver manually:
  1. Right click on "my computer"
  2. Choose "properties"
  3. Choose "device manager"
(In Windows 2000, you have to choose the "hardware" tab first and then "device manager").
This will display a list of the devices that are on your computer.
  4. Right click on the device and click "properties".
  5. Choose "driver" and click "update driver"
  6. You will be asked to browse for the new driver

To Install a new driver from Device Manager
  • Double-click the type of device you want to update or change.
  • Right-click the specific device driver you want to update or change.
  • Click Update Driver to open the Hardware Update Wizard. Follow the wizard instructions.

Re: How to Install New Device Driver

First, try the Device manager.
You can upgrade drivers and devices from there by left-clicking on an item in the list and chosing upgrade.
If the answer isn't there, try manufacturer support.
