Hi!
I had recently on my Debian (unstable) nor a Operating system to install what is known for, easy-to-MBRs write about ...
Well, yes, in principle, is no problem, I then by a grml-live-cd to boot, the Debian-Root directory mounted, is /boot, /sys and /proc mounted (but also went without / sys and / proc), grub-install/dev/sda up and ready. I thought.
The problem is that when I select an item (no matter what, directly whether a Linux kernel, or another boot loader from a Partition), the "savedefault" contains I get Grub Error 28 "Selected item can not fit into memory". Nehm I then Savedefault out everything boots normally.
I have a bit rumprobiert, but I am not a piece forward. Specifically, I have grub-install again from the Debian Launched
called grub-install - rectangle called without savedefault in the menu.lst (that's of course right away).
The Grub Manual says [1]:
28: Selected item can not fit into memory
This error is returned if a kernel, module, or raw file load command is either trying to load its data such that it will not fit into memory or it is simply too big.
So the Linux kernel, I have at that time not touched, is now another, but because it probably not.
Has anyone no idea what I could try, or even what it is?
