Blank Windows Update page in Xp

Hello Friends,

I'm running Windows Xp as my operating sytem. Whenever i try to use Windows updates, it doesn't get load on my pc. It shows a blank page when i try to update my Windows Xp. It was working fine, but all sudden now it's not allowing me to update anything on my pc. Does any body have any idea about this issue? Kindly help me out to resolve this issue.

To configure the Pop-up Blocker on the Tools menu, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Turn On Pop-up Blocker to turn on the Pop-up Blocker, or click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to turn off the Pop-up Blocker.

To configure the Pop-up Blocker from Internet Options, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the Privacy tab, and then select the Block pop-ups check box to turn on the Pop-up Blocker, or clear the Block pop-ups check box to turn off the Pop-up Blocker.
4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

Clear the temporary Internet files and the history

1. Click View (if you are using Internet Explorer 4.01) or Tools (if you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.01).

2. Click Internet Options and then click the General tab.

3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files, and then click OK.

4. In the History section, click Clear History, and then click OK.

Set Security level in Internet Options to 'default'. Disable any and all ad-blocking software. Check Firewall and antivirus settings to ensure that Windows Update is not being blocked (disable these and try to see if they are the problem)

Panda Platinum, for example, by default blocks all VB and Java code from running.

If you come across an issue where you get a blank page when accessing Windows Updates, the below fix worked for me.

Click start, click run and type the below commands and click ok after each one.

regsvr32 jscript

regsvr32 vbscript

regsvr32 /i mshtml
