| Detection problem while formatting disks
I have a presario c700 with vista basic, I tried to format to install xp but when configuring my pc is a message saying that there is no hard drive detected, I try again several times but it didn't work. |

It requires drivers to your hard drive and install by F6 while installing XP starts. "Press F6 to install third party drivers. Otherwise, without hard disk drivers, it does not recognize. |

Try another disk. if it doesn't work then check the cabling and whether the drive is set to Slave or Master and that the cable is connected properly. |
