Hey! Have you installed linux boot loader? I guess you did not installed the boot loader of linux that is why it does not take linux into consideration and XP boot loader takes control of the system! Try to install the grub boot loader which will be installed if you do not deselect it while installing linux... All the best! |

| Re: Linux does not boot in dual boot system
hey! Yeah, you just screwed the linux that you installed, you must install the grub boot loader in the first sector of the hard disk [MBR]. Doing this will take over windows boot loader and grup will be the first boot loader, in the options it will show linux as well as windows. You can select which OS to boot... Do not install grub else where, because then if Windows is in the first partition it will be the controller of the OS selection and which i guess is not good for linux to boot...! All the best! |
