    ohmy SPTD.sys error in SafeMode

    Hey Everyone,

Whenever i try to start my pc in Safe Mode, i get the following error "Press ESC to cancel loading SPTD.sys". I get this error every time whenever i try to run my pc in Safe Mode. It really annoys me a lot. How do i get rid of this problem? Does any one have any idea about this issue? Can any one help me out to get rid of this problem? Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Use the recovery console and disable the driver. Yes renaming the driver should work as well but i would disable it, you can also use a boot cd or second system.

Check if you've afs2k.sys in Windows\System32\Drivers folder. Some HP software use this driver, which is known to cause trouble.

    Re: SPTD.sys error in SafeMode

SPTD.SYS could cause the problem if you have Daemon Tools 4.03 istalled.

Do you cancel SPTD.SYS loading during Safe Mode boot?

You should remove SPTD.SYS and SPTDXXXX.SYS from SYSTEM32/DRIVER folder in SAFE MODE if it causes problems.
