    Stopped monitoring the volume

After install IBM Rescue and Recovery on a Windows XP-based computer, the following error appears in the System log:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: sr
    Event ID: 1

The System Restore filter encountered the unexpected error '0xC000000D' while processing the file file name on the volume volume name. It has stopped monitoring the volume.

    Re: Stopped monitoring the volume

This problem occurs if System Restore is enabled and if the partition type is 0x12 (hidden). Even though System Restore does not monitor the hidden partition, System Restore still monitors the system partition. You can restore to earlier restore points by using safe mode.

I will recommend you install hotfix 888402 to make sure that restore points are available. If hotfix 888402 is not installed, restore points are lost during the next restart.
