Problem with games Windows 7 64 bit and Core i7

I purchased a new PC:
Core i7 920,
Asus Deluxe PT V2
GTX275
6GB RAM

The trouble is that most games do not work:
Empire: Total War to fails in battle mode, the game is being charged as if I do alt-tab. Crysis crashes after 2-3 minutes, sometimes seconds. Crysis warhead, same. Dirt does not work, except the menus.

On the other hand, GTA 4 and Far Cry 2 runs.

I have the latest drivers, made the updates, except the bios. I think the concern is software but not sure ...

Do you know what is the problem with games in Windows 7 64 bit and Core i7?

Try to see your power supply or RAM, it may seem stupid but hey ... you never know. I have no crash in Windows 7 x64 on all the games you mentioned. The best will be launch a memtest, followed by an OCCT! Do you have a patch for Crysis Warhead in x64? I think it should help you in some way.

Make a stability test! If it succeeds it in your graphics card that is faulty. What Nvidia driver? Have you tried to play under Windows XP in dual boot? What is your power supply? Have you any graphical problems in normal use of Windows 7 (office, internet, multimedia ...)?

I found the solution. I was amused to do a little overclocking when I received my machine. That was not successful, and I set everything to factory defaults. At least I thought because I was at 648 MHz for the core, so that it did not work. This shows one thing: my graphics card does not take a single MHz.
