mac osx 10.5.6 movies playback not possible

I sit for 2 days under 10.5.6.
Previously in 10.5.2.

Under 10.5.2 I could play DVD movies perfect player, quicktime or VLC.
No more, the only thing I changed is that I have all updates have to roll (including 10.5.6).

DVD player gives a certain error code, quicktime is just not, and VLC gives sound but no picture. From this I conclude that there is a problem with the video card (or drivers).

Someone an idea that this could be?
Or know someone how I reinstall video card drivers on a mac?

check for "error code" even say? If you have that code as the apple support doc's looking for you a great opportunity to find a solution.

According to what format of the messages is as if my video card is not enough memory ...

I would if I were you as the Combo Update 10.5.6 trying to install it and see if your problem is solved. There is something corrupt affected by the update one or the other by ownership.
