Go to your Task bar, right click on the digital clock, you will find the Task manager there.

Well, then your PC might be probably infected with viruses attack. you do one thing, first run a complete and up-to-date anti-virus scan of your machine and after that if you are using Windows XP Pro then follow this steps to bring back Task manager manually...
1. Click Start, then click Run and type in gpedit.msc:
2. Press OK. This runs the Group Policy Editor.
3. Once in the Group Policy Editor, expand in turn,You see there 1. User Configuration, 2. Administrative Templates, 3. System, 4. Ctrl+Alt+Del Options
4. Go on Ctrl+Alt+Del Options
5. Double click on Remove Task Manager
6. Click on enable.Or it should be enough to click on Not Configured and then OK.
You will get back your task manager on the task bar right click and Ctrl+Alt+Del as well.
