    Svchost.exe not found message?

    Hello,
whenever I start my PC I got this message The instruction at "Ox745f2780" referenced memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "read". SVCHOST.EXE Application Error 0x745f2780. What might have caused this and how to stop this message ? i am using windows xp.

    Thank you

The solution is not at all difficult:
    • Open registry editor (typing regedit in the Run box).
Navigate to both of the following keys:
    • HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    • HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon
    • Now if you will see a shell Explorer.exe with the value “C:\recycled\SVCHOST.exe” in any one of them, just delete the whole key of explorer.exe

    Rebooting will solve the problem.

To resolve this, download Autoruns, search for the related entry and then delete it.

    • Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there. (click here if your not sure how to do this.)
    • Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to launch it.
    • Please be patient as it scans and populates the entries.
    • When done scanning, it will say Ready at the bottom.
    • Scroll through the list and look for a startup entry related to the file(s) in the error message.
    • Right-click on the entry and choose delete.
    • Reboot your computer and see if the startup error returns.
