    Dual boot after formatting

    hi,

I would like to know if I lose my dual boot if I just formatted my windows XP?
I have a problem with lag counter strike 1.6 on XP, I was not on vista. my Counter strike worked well this morning. So I did not consider breaking my head I fear I just formatted my dual boot no longer works.

I do not want to reinstall vista also.

    thank you

    hi
you must dual boot is located on your c: or it is the xp and the 2nd drive (or partition) your vista. but if your on xp malfunctioning your counter strike it requires you to format the 2 unfortunately. if you format your xp you will more than dual boot vista
the best way you do is like you're getting a new machine xp on 1 drive and vista on the other dual boot your referring this automatically and you made a norton ghost direct every time as it arrive.

    Hi,
windows xp will overwrite your boot to reinstall vista but not bother to reinstall vista, you just fix the boot with your vista cd of vista and then use the EasyBCD, it's nickel, it is what I had to myself for reformatting to xp.

I have another method that works me!

    • If the boot of Vista does not work anymore! XP starts and then directly!
    • It should be: Re put the vista DVD to repair the BOOT (My e DVD selection Fixed)
    • Then restart the PC! Mouting Vista that it runs directly.
    • Instal VistaBootPro and set the BCD
    • Saved the BCD
    • Restart
