Re: Don't want to keep Guest account on my system

Dear Sir,,

In this case i would suggest you to either Disable or Hide your Guest Account.
I'll let you know how to do this. First follow the steps how to Disable the Guest account:-

On a Windows XP Home computer, or on a Windows XP Professional computer that is not a part of a domain do the following:

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.

2. Click Local Users and Groups.

3. Click Users.

4. Right-click the Guest account, choose Properties.

5. On the General tab, select Account is Disabled.

6. Click Ok.

By doing so you believe that the Guest Account is gone, when in fact it's still alive and well, but just not visible on the Welcome screen.

Now steps to turn off the guest account:-

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2. Click User Accounts.

3. Under or pick an account to change, click Guest.

4. On the What do you want to change about the guest account page, click Turn off the guest account.

Now no one can log in to your computer unless he know the administrator's password.

To prevent your file you should turn off the Guest account and create a password in administrator's account.

To turn off the guest account, just go through:-

Click start, control panel, user accounts. Click the Guest account, and
you'll see the option "Turn off the guest account".

Thats It

Re: Don't want to keep Guest account on my system

Hi sir,,

I think for this case you stop this account and other users will be unable for any access in any login of your Windows XP operation system.

just follow this steps and turn off your guest account...

1. Go to Start

2. Control Panel

3. User Accounts.

This is a special, system account, which cant be deleted or changed. You can only disable this account.

4. Click on 'Turn off guest account'.

Now your Windows XP system is more secured and any attacks using Guest account will be impossible.

Dont let know your administrator password to any one else.
