Shaded, Rough and granular video in vista

Hello friends,

I have desktop running windows vista home premium. I can't view all my videos and images properly.They are shaded and grainy. can anyone fis this for me?

Check your monitor's resolution. Right click on your desktop => Go to properties => Click on Settings tab. There you can try to change Screen resolution. Also change your color scheme and view the video or image.

You should check the drivers for your video card. Go to Control Panel => System => Device Manager and update it if necessary. Also try to reinstall the drivers.

If you are using windows media player or other pre-installed players in your computer then it could be a video codec problem. Install VLC Media Player and all the latest codecs and give a try. This player plays almost all types of files.
