There are different ways to move your files from a PC to a Mac, some are easier than others, in some cases you will need a more advanced computer knowledge, more equipment and more resources.

Usually, when you want to move your files to a Mac you can:
    • Copy files from your PC to an external storage device or removable media, then use that media on your Mac to transfer files to your hard drive.
    • Send files over the Internet. If you have an email account, you can simply send you the files from your PC, receive on your Mac, then save them on the hard drive of your Mac. It is advisable to begin by compressing groups of larger files.
    • Connect your Mac and your PC network to move files through file sharing, be it Mac to PC or PC to Mac.

Finally, you can migrate your Windows system and its files to your Mac!

    • If you're interested in using all the resources of your new Mac, you can simply install Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp and access your files directly from Windows on your Mac.

Use an external or removable media. If your Windows computer has a CD or DVD or has a USB port:
    • copy files from your PC to an external hard drive or storage device, then reconnect the drive on your Mac to transfer files on the hard drive of your Mac.
    • Burn files to CD or DVD on your PC, then use the disks on your Mac to transfer files on the hard drive of your Mac.
    • If you do not have too many files you can transfer them via email. It is better to compress groups of larger files. You send files by e-mail from your PC, then be approved using the Mail application on your Mac.

Hello, you can transfer them via an external hard drive or via a network connection, connect your old PC to your Mac, directly or via a network! Before you move your files, you have to install the Mac software you might need to open your files.
