Windows XP or Windows 7 for gaming

    hi all

For some windows game only I am thinking to install Windows on my iMac, but which one? I have lately heard quite good things about Windows 7. That would be even lighter than XP in some cases. In addition, you will have DirectX 10 .please tell me which one is good ?

    Specs:

    2.8 GHz Core 2 Dual
    4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
    Readon ATI HD 2600

Games where I want to use:

    World in Conflict
Call of Duty 4 (Or they should damn 1.7 patch even go for the Mac ..)
    Test Drive Unlimited

    thank you .

i think the specifications are really enough for Windows 7. On my single core laptop (almost 3 years old) running Windows Vista is not better , but Windows 7 have enormous flexibility.

Furthermore, Windows 7 also much safer and there are huge new features. I recommend Windows 7 ./

I think you best windows 7 64-bit can use. Windows XP 64-bit is not such a good steer.

Win7 is great with games, I turn the 64 bit version and I coincidentally also TDU insist. Works great! Otherwise gta4, crysis, all steam games quite well. so try it but look out for driver support.

I'm windows user and 7 am satisfied with, it obviously has a few bugs but that is normal. It is more stable than XP because it can better handle errors, everything works just perfect.

Lighter than XP is certainly not, but much lighter than Vista

I turn here Windows 7. And also as a standard OS simply because CrossFire not working on Vista and because I hate to have XP.
For me everything works perfectly except 3DMark, which will not boot. And tonight I got a BSOD, but had no idea why.
