Control panel and other windows programs wont open

Hi,

Using windows vista. I cant open some items in the control panel - power options, windows updates etc - when try to open them they flash up for a split second and close. I don't know what to do know sometimes after restart everything works fine. But after certain time still same problem. Please help me here . i don't wanna format my system.

First thing say us which anti-virus you using? if you are not using then install good anti-virus program according t your system (Norton is best !) an scan your full system.

This type of behavior is often a problem with viruses/trojans/spyware or other malware . You have to contact MS via this link and they will send
you the Hotfix . refer this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936686/en-us
