    Error Loading dll file: Specified module could not be found

    Now a days I am getting some strange messages on my computer, something like:

    Error Loading C:\.....\geBroLBu.dll
    Specified module could not be found
    I have Windows Vista on my computer with AVG antivirus software installed. How can I fix this problem? Does this mean that the registry is messed up somehow? What should I do? Re-install Windows? Or can I run a utility to check the registry?

    DLL stands for dynamic link library and serves as a table for the application. That file is specific to your application that you installed. You would have to find out what application that file belong to and reinstall that application.

    You need to figure out which managed dll, native dll and lib files are referenced by your application (directly or indirectly).

    For managed dll, make sure they are in the web's bin folder. For native dll and .lib files, check out whether those .dll and .lib files are in the PATH. If not, you can either copy them to there; or, you can put them into a folder and add that folder into the PATH. Then restart VS and IIS (command "iisreset") to make sure the setting is picked up.

    Please copy this page to "Notepad" and save to your desktop for reference as you will not have any browsers open while you are carrying out portions of these instructions.

    It's IMPORTANT to carry out the instructions in the sequence listed below.
    1. Close any open browsers.
    2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

    Open notepad and copy/paste the below text into it:

    Killall::

    File::
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\epejfryk.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\kgexmurl.dll

    Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe which is on the Desktop.

    Drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe
