    Re: Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System

The Microsoft ACPI-Compliant System component provides the Microsoft ACPI Driver in the acpi.sys file. This component additionally supplies the INF (information) files, acpi.inf and machine.inf. The machine.inf file is the system-supplied INF file for a standard device.

What are you trying to justify and whom are you telling that? Through the Intel INF drivers will ensure a smooth operation between Intel chipsets, to ensure the proper South Bridges and operating system. In each case the latest versions are of course designed for the latest chipsets, older versions typically require often an older driver.
