Login screen freezes in Windows Vista

Hello everybody,

Every time whenever i try to login my screen gets freezes out. I have installed Windows Vista on my pc. To get in the normal mode i have to restart my pc again. Can any one tell me why this problem occurs on my pc? Is there any way by which i can resolve this issue? Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

I think it could be some piece of hardware that is loose inside the tablet, it may be your RAM module or it could be the connection of your hard drive.

This Vista issue appears to be related to the AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core processor and the Vista's CPU Power management Configuration.

• Start the Powercfg.cpl from an administrator command prompt.
  
• Change plan settings on All listed Power Plans,
  
• Change advanced Plan settings
  
• Select Processor Power Management,
• Minumum Processor State,
• On battery (%) 100
• Plugged In (%) 100
  
• Maximum Processor State,
• On battery (%) 100
• Plugged In (%) 100

Reboot the system, Check to make sure the CPU settings stick in PowerCfg.cpl and Try it.

I am assuming you can start up by doing a do a system restore.

There can be chances of having some Windows corrupt files in your system. This can also cause you the problem, so it's better that you format your pc and try to reinstall new copy of Window Vista on your system.
