Sound not working in Windows Vista

Hi friends,

I am facing an issue with my PC, I have recently install Windows Vista as my Operating system and i have also install the Corresponding Sound Drivers for it.But whenever i try to play any music it not getting played.Can anyone tell me whats the issue with my PC.

Please help me out and thanks in advance.

Sure i will help you out with that may i know which Sound Card are you using it and are you getting an error message a what ?

Following are my PC Configuration:-

Intel Dual core 2.66 Ghz
915 MSI Motherboard with Intel Chipset
2 gb RAM
500gb HDD

I am having Realtek Sound Card and i am getting no error message

Try to goto the Device Manager and have a check for any error message.

For going to Device Manager Follow this steps:-

1. Right Click on My Computer.
2. Click on Properties.
3. Select the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager.

Over here see are you getting an error message a what under Sound section.

Yes over here there is an Exclamation Mark and getting an error message as Multimedia Audio Controller Driver

It seems that you Sound Drivers are not properly install for that try to do the following things:-

1. If you have a driver CD that came with your computer or sound card when you bought it, insert this to install the latest drivers.
   
2. If you no longer have the CD, or the drivers are too old you will need to download the latest sound card software from the manufacturers website.

For your Sound Card i have the latest driver , click on download
