Hyper-V Leads to Lagging of Server 08

    hi there
I have recently bought a new Server 08 with the application of using it as a kind of workstation. I play around with Hyper-V, but what I am noticing from few days that not even running into a virtual machine mode , the use of the main operating system turned to be very lagging, anything that is slightly a graphical oriented application causes the system to really lag and struggle. Reinstalling brings things back to normal. Does anyone else have this issue?

    Please help me in this

Having the Hyper-V role installed means that the hypervisor is running under the main OS, I believe? Not that it helps the problem, but it might be useful to know - and also means that it's not a good idea to use the Hyper-V role if you're not using virtualisation, since it's just a needless thunking layer then.

I've been disabling Virtualization in BIOS and killing the services when I want to game. Early in maps for TF2/COD4 and the like, I get tons of chop with all the Hyper-V junk running. Smooth as can be with it all off.

    hi

on your network card (physical not virtual) in device manager disable all offloading (ie TCP offloading)

see if this fixs your problem! it did for me.

In order to fix the RDC disconnection issues you need to disable the IPv4
Large Send Offload setting in the NIC's properties
