    Systemrestore missing framedyn.dll

    hi,
Im trying to reinstall scanner software using the CD it came with. And when ever I get to the installation step, the error message comes"This application can not finish it's process due to the missing file Framedyn.dll, Re-installing the application may fix the problem".I have re-installed it but I still get the same pop-up at start-up. Does anyone know what's going on here and how to fix this? I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The framedyn.dll file located in the C:\Windows\System32\Wbem\ folder is either corrupt or missing. The Windows Path environment variable is not pointing to the C:\Windows\System32\Wbem\ folder.A temporary fix to address this issue is to make the user copy the framedyn.dll file from \Windows\System32\WBEM directory to the \Windows\System32 directory.

    Replace the Framedyn.dll File
    1. Click Start, and then click Run.
    2. In the Open box, type %systemroot%\system32\dllcache, and then click OK.
    3. Right-click framedyn.dll, and then click Copy on the shortcut menu that appears.
    4. Click Start, and then click Run.
    5. In the Open box, type %systemroot%\system32\wbem, and then click OK.
    6. On the Edit menu, click Paste. If you are prompted to replace the existing file, click Yes.

When you have this error, there is probably something wrong with your Windows path. Normally, if you have Windows XP service pack 1 (or later) installed, you shouldn't be affected.
    • Click start
    • Right-click "My Computer" and select "properties"
    • If you receive an error message, click ok
    • In the System properties dialog, click the "advanced" tab
    • Click environment variables
    • Under System Variables, click Path
    • Click Edit
    • In the Variable value box, type : %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\wbem
    • Click ok
    • Click ok
    • Click ok
