Error message "cannot find script file c:\W32PT.dll.vbs"

Hi friends,

I am facing an issue with my PC.Whenever i try to Open my C: Drive i am getting an error message as Cannot find script file c:\W32PT.dll.vbs".

But i can Open the drive by Right Clicking and then selecting Open.Can anyone tell me what's the issue with my PC.

Thanks in advance and following is my PC configuration.

Intel Dual Core 2.2 Ghz
Asrock G31
2gb Ram
200gb HDD

Sure i will help you with that normally this type of error message comes when your PC is being got effected by Virus.I would suggest you to run a license copy of antivirus in safe mode

I tried to do it but it didn't worked for me any other solution please.

I was also facing such kind of issue i tried to follow the below steps and it worked for me hope it will work for you also:-

1. Click on Start.
   
2. Type regedit in Run Option.
   
3. Registry Window gets open and find the following key
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MountPoints2
   
   
4. After finding it delete the key and restart your PC.

Now try to Open your C drive you won't get any error message again.

I also got the same error message i tried to do the following things and it worked for me hope it will work for you too.

1. Click on Start.
2. Type cmd in the Run Option.
3. Command prompt will open in that type cd c:\ and press enter.
4. Now type dir *inf and press Enter.
5. Now you should see a file named as Autorun.inf after finding it type del Autorun.inf for deleting it.
6. Now type exit and restart you PC.
