How do i expand my C drive

Hello everyone,

I would like to expand my C drive, is it possible for me to expand my C drive? My C drive is of 40Gb and full of programs and updates. My pc shows me a free space of 40Gb space available on my hard drive. Is there any way to expand my C drive by capturing that empty pace? Any kind of information related to this one would be appreciated.

Try to use Partition Magic if your using a FAT32 format. Otherwise if you are using NTFS format with windows 2000 or Xp, then you can extend your partition with Windows Disk Manager.

In order to extend your hard drive follow the below steps mention.

Go to your Control Panel, then go to Administrative Tools and select Computer Management in that, it will show you the navigation menu on your left side, Then click on Storage and select Disk Management. Now you will see "shrink/extend" partitions, then right click on it. You will able to extend your hard drive easily.

You can also go for Symantec or Disk Partition Manger software available on different websites. It allows you to extend or split the disk partition without losing information on the existing drive.
