Regedit is disabled by administrator

Hi,

I am facing an issue with my PC.Whenever i try to open regedit i am getting an error message as Regedit is disabled by the administrator.I am facing this issue from last few days can any one help me out with this i would be very thankful to that person.

Try to follow this steps hope it work for you.
  1. Click Start, Run and type gpedit.msc and press ENTER
  2. Go to the following location:

    User Configuration - -> Administrative Templates- - > System

  3. Double-click Disable registry editing tools and set it to Not Configured
  4. Exit the Group Policy Editor.

I was also facing such kind of issue i tried to follow below steps and it worked for me hope it will work for you too.
  1. Click on Start.
  2. Goto Run and type Regedit.
  3. Now goto the following location:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System
  4. Over here check the below details:-
    • Value Name: DisableRegistryTools
    • Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
    • Value Data: (0 = allow regedit, 1 = disable regedit)

Your computer might be infected with virus, so please run antivirus scan. What antivirus are you having? Turn off system restore, then login to safe mode, and then scan your PC with antivirus. Do update the definitions of the antivirus beforehand.
