Error Message uxtheme.dll

Hi,

I am getting an Error message as "uxtheme.dll" in windows Vista. When I was trying to change the Vista themes i have done following this change my uxtheme.dll into uxtheme.dll.old with 2 files and download another file & put it into my system32.

Can anyone help me out with this issue it would be great.

It seems that you have not properly downloaded the correct uxtheme.dll file verison.

I have check it i am having the correct version of file any other solution please.

I was also facing the same issue i tried to do the following things it worked for me hope it will work for you too.

1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
   
   
2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:
   
   sfc /scannow
   
   
   The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
   
   
3. Reboot your Pc and now it will work fine.
